Editorial Reviews
<"b000000n7e5228"> From Grove Press Guide to Blues on CD
Roy Rogers, recent production sidekick to John Lee Hooker, is one of the most able slide guitarists around. His precise outlay of notes, however, has a heartless, glossy feel. Worse yet, the San Franciscan's singing is inexpressive and as worthless as a paring of cheese rind. Interpretations of two Robert Johnson songs are easy-listening monstrosities. -- © Frank John Hadley 1993
