It's a Good Day

<"b0000002y55228"> From Grove Press Guide to Blues on CD
One of the most influential of postwar blues artists-B. B. King's guitar was heavily influenced by him, as was Johnny Adams's singing style-Lowell Fulson enjoyed a string of hits of his own in the 1950s and 1960s. His guitar is sophisticated and fluid, bordering on jazz, with vocals to match. This "comeback" album shows no signs of slipping from past standards. (J.T.) -- © Frank John Hadley 1993
