Fuller's hallmark double-entendres and protestations concerning bothersome women-the gist of this collection of late1930s songs-ring with unremitting warmth. Although a popular entertainer, the accomplished guitarist and singer doesn't swathe the true feelings of the blues in the soft cotton of sentimentality.
