Prof. "Louie" & The Crowmatix from Woodstock, NY have been recording and touring nationally for the past four years consistently playing premier clubs including BB Kings & The Bottom Line in NYC, The House Of Blues in LA, The Towne Crier and The Turning Point, NY and Fitzgeralds in Chicago to name a few. In 2004, they performed in Ontario, Canada at The London , Windsor and Thunder Bay Blues Festivals and in the U.S. at The Detroit International Street Fair, Gathering on the Mountain Festival, PA and the Clermont Heritage Festival in New York. They have shared stages with The Wailers, Eric Burdon, Johnnie Johnson, Luther Alison, Jimmy Vaughn, Bobby Blue Bland, Bela Fleck, James Cotton, Graham Parker and Rock'n’Roll Hall of Fame artist Garth Hudson from The Band. "The Century Of The Blues" is Professor "Louie" & The Crowmatix fourth studio CD. They have been touring non-stop for the past four years and one question that continually comes up from fans attending their live shows is "Which CD has the most blues songs on the disc?" To satisfy their dedicated fans, Prof. "Louie" & The Crowmatix decided to record a tribute style CD in the blues genre. This blues inspired CD has captured the pure feelings of this proven everlasting musical genre, writing original blues influenced songs as well interpreting some of the most wonderful songs in blues history. "The Century of the Blues" traces some of the steps taken from blues to rock’n’roll, paying homage to the great blues artists and their songs that have contributed so much throughout the years to all musicians around the world. "The Century Of The Blues" is a way of saying "thank you" to just a handful of these great artists. This CD is also dedicated to the Blues Societies, promoters and fans that continue to keep this style of Americana Music and Heritage sound alive.
