Editorial Reviews As an employee with the Department of Parks and Recreation for the last 31 years, her roles has been entertainment specialist, call center operator and receptionist. She presently tours the city as a music specialist. She is the main vocalist with the Department of Parks and Recreation, performing for the Mayor, city festivals, special programs and events. With the singing career developing as early as 4 years old, and at sixteen professionally , Margie and the female group known as the Four Jewels, starred as the opening act for the James Brown Revue in such showplaces as: The Howard Theatre, Apollo Royal, Orange Bowl, Club Harlem, and the Copacabana in New York. Her talent has taken her to the stages of USO Shows with Bob Hope, to Vietnam, and many Job Corp sites throughout the early 60s, Johnny jealously and Loaded with Goodies. Margie performed with the Rickie Loza Combo in El Salvador at Club La Luna jazz festival in July 2001. The club was packed each night. As the lead vocalist, with Jacques " SAXMAN" Johnson and Friends, Margie continues to amaze audiences wherever she sings. In commenting her successful career, Margie states, " My life has been wonderful. God blessed me with a gift that I must share with the world. I love it, enjoy it, thank Him for it, and will continue to do it always."
