Editorial Reviews Diane Scanlon has toured extensively and internationally, appearing at such esteemed venues as the Montreux Festival in Switzerland, the Spoleto Festival in South Carolina, and the Nassau and New Haven Colosseums. Her lead guitar playing is her trademark. Known for her emotive, blues-based playing and soulful lyrics, she is a musicians musician. As a songwriter, her songs have been performed by numerous and diverse artists. Her songwriting catalog moves through many genres. "Whos Gonna Carry You" was the single on Tramaine Hawkins CD Higher Ground, a Grammy nominated record in the contemporary Gospel category. In the pop realm, Arista chose "Ill Be Here" as the hit single for the debut release by the band Tuesday. "I Know You By Heart" and "Time Is A Healer" were chosen for Eva Cassidys CD Songbird, an independent record which has been #1 on Amazon.coms folk chart since its release in late 1998. Songbird was released in England on Hot Records and rose up the charts to #1, selling over a million units (Dianes first triple platinum award). Diane has also composed music for audio-books with Gashouse Productions. Her music for bassoon, clarinet and flute was part of the winning team that won the Grammy for Winnie The Pooh in 1998.
