Kipori was raised by his grandfather "Luscious" Lloyd Lambert who worked with Ray Charles, Little Richard, Danny Barker, and Guitar Slim. Kipori has worked with the Marsalis brothers, Neville brothers, Nicholas Payton, Davell Crawford and Walter "Wolfman" Washington.
