<"b00006ivf54999"> Album Description
The Rhythm Rockets hail from Chicago, Illinois. Since forming in 1996, they've performed over 150 dates a year. Heavily influenced by the sax-driven Jump, Rhythm & Blues bands of the late 1940's and early 1950's, the Rhythm Rockets bring to the stage the high-energy roots music that influenced the founding fathers of Rock and Roll. This recording captures everything the Rhythm Rockets are known for-- a three piece saxophone section delivering a fat, playful personality of sound. A rhythm section that provides a solid and continuous pulse-- all building the foundation for the sultry, smokey vocals.
