Jan Celt was born in germany in 1955. He started out as a kid playing the violin, eventually studied music and became an orchestra conductor, but a love of the blues led him in a different direction and he got involved with the Esquires, with whom he played countless gigs and recorded three albums. He lives in Portland with his family.

This is Jan Celt's solo album after doing three LPs with his rhythm and blues aces, The Esquires. The instrumentation is a bit sparse and lean, leaving plenty of room for the listener to make out the music.
