Good Times Live! is The Vipers' second CD and features vocalist Eagle Park Slim. Slim joined the band on a permanent basis after the death of our good friend Henry Vestine in 1967. We hope that in some small way we still capture that adventuresome spirit with which Henry approached music.

"Straight-up blues" is what Eugene, Oregon critic Mare Wakefield called the CD, and indeed it is. To a solid base of covers from Muddy waters, Sony Boy Williamson, Big Joe Turner, and Booker T. Jones, The Vipers featuring Eagle Park Slim add original tunes from skilled songwriter Eagle Park Slim and bandleader Jon Silvermoon.

Good Times Live! gives the rest of the world a chance to appreciate what Oregon blues lovers, swing dancers, and folks out to just have a good time have known for years - The Vipers featuring Eagle Park Slim deliver danceable blues, as if every night was Saturday night at a Mississippi juke joint and the crowd was ready to party. As Greg Johnson of the Cascade Blues Association wrote, The Vipers' music is "packed full of all the grit and churning boogie frenzy that is a necessity for any good band to survive the grind of the nightclub and beer bar circuit."
