Editorial Reviews Pleasurevilles sound is marked by a diversity of influences: laid-back rock-n-roll topped off with good measures of blues and country. Its back-porch sensibilities translate well both in their live performances as well as on their newest Hello Records release. Pleasureville is a rock-n-roll band from Lexington, KY. Formed in mid-1997 by Andrew Gray (bass) and John Mann (vocals, guitar), Pleasureville has been a staple of the thriving Lexington, KY music scene for a couple of years now. Its debut E.P., Low Rent, released in early 1998, only solidified their status. Recently, the band has done extensive touring in and around the east coast. During this time, Pleasureville has been honing its skills and establishing itself as one of the premier rock-n-roll acts in the underground music world. With the release of its first full-length effort, Hotel in late 1999, the band has begun to attract large audiences to its shows and has received favorable press from the local media, not to mention considerable airplay on Lexington and Louisville radio.
