It is a bluesy but yet soulful disc that touches several musical styles including New Orleans Funk (Neville Brothers, Doctor John) Jazz (Four Play, Yellow Jackets), Blues/Soul (Ray Charles, Stevie Wonder, Fats Domino) and Ragitime. Often compared to likes of Ray Charles, the lead singer exemplifies his own style and character to the music vocally and as the pianist/organist also. The band is very tasteful and complimentary to one another as well! This disc is a must have for your collection!
