<"b00004ttyq2999"> About the Artist
Tracy Herron started his music career about 1959 with his nephews, Carroll and Percy Gilley. They were all from Ferriday, Louisiana and thats where their cousins were from, Jerry Lee Lewis and Jimmy Swaggart. Also, their uncle Mickey Gilley. Mickey Gilleys two brothers married Tracy Herrons two sisters. Tracy Herron has recorded previously and so has Carroll and Dennis Gilley, his nephews, however, Tracy never got music out of his system. He started playing the harmonica about five years ago and got to know some of the guys here in Corpus Christi such as Mike Isbell and Jason Burns who have a band called Crossfire. They invited him out to play with them. Since then he has played with different bands all over Corpus Christi, Texas.

Tracy would like to thank Laura and Dennis Gilley, owners of Gilleys Recording Studio. You cant get a better sound anywhere than Gilleys! Thanks also to Crossfire for getting my confidence back.

This album is dedicated to Randy Edwards, my harmonica buddy from Robstown, Texas. Randy passed away at age 47 in 1999 and the last song on this album is Randys Tribute which Tracy played in church at his funeral. It was the hardest thing I have ever had to do.

Band members: Tracy Herron, Vocals/Harmonica
Dennis Gilley, Piano/Synths/Arrangements

Special guest Guitarists:
Jason Burns
Mike Isbell
Fred Jarman
John Liberto
J.T. Uvalle
Rick Voelkel

Another singer from Ferriday, Louisiana. Thats right. His name is Tracy Herron and he is the first cousin of Jerry Lee Lewis and Evangelist Jimmy Swaggart. This is Tracys debut album and boy does it have punch for being his first. Tracys nephew Dennis Gilley, who is also Mickey Gilleys nephew, is playing some sizzling piano, along with six of Corpus Christi, Texas finest guitar players. Tracy Herrons harmonica playing puts this CD at the top. Adding four original songs and some great cover tunes, Tracy sings up a storm.
