Editorial Reviews Band members: Mike Allemana - guitar
<"b00004u6292999"> About the Artist
Mike Allemana is one of the busiest jazz guitarists in Chicago - and for good reason. At thirty years old, Mike has developed a mastery of the guitar, which has endeared him to some of the finest players and singers in jazz. His credits include three years with tenor saxophone legend Lin Halliday and two years with organ great Charles Earland. Additionally, Mike has performed on the CD, "Come Rain or Come shine," by Bobby Caldwell and made appearances with organ master Lonnie Smith. Mike hs absorbed the vocabulary of the great bebop masters and developed a style of his own. His concept has evolved into a fully realized voice with long flowing lines and rich chordal passages. Equally, Dan Trudell (organ) and Mike Schlick (drums) provide sensitive support as well as direction - creating a unique trio sound.
