<"b00004xpjt2999"> About the Artist
Johnny Artis is a modern day renaissance man. A talented and well respected chef, he pursued his (and his mother's) dream of becoming a performer by creating the band Johnny Tenspot and Loose Change. But that was the tip of the proverbial "iceberg." Over the years, Johnny honed and polished his skills -- today, he is the lead singer of The Johnny Artis Band. Johnny has always been destined for the music industry. He can do it all -- blues, rock & roll, reggae, gospel, rhythm & blues, etc. Johnny's voice is a gift that keeps audiences -- old and new alike -- coming back for more. The listener is quickly drawn in by the emotion Johnny puts into each song. Combine that emotion, the band's high energy and Johnny's ability to "grab" his audience and make them a part of the show -- and you have a winning combination every time. With the release of his fourth CD, KORNICOPIA, Johnny begins to tap within himself. KORNICOPIA is a compilation of original songs by Johnny and the band composed of Jeff Bean-keyboards; Frankie Addison-sax; Sean Peck-drums; Sean Camp-guitar; Lee Dodson-bass; and co-songwriter Gary Thomas. "It's nothing without my band. Each of the guys is an extremely talented musician. We've been together for a long time.
