Sugar Mama UK and Richard Hunter achieve amazing improvisational intricacies. This album is "traditional" and anything but old-fashioned.

I met Dave Carson and Kyoko Monk, a/k/a Sugar Mama UK, one night in July 2003 at the Three Horseshoes pub in Burton Bradstock, Dorset, UK. They played fiery acoustic guitar blues tinged with 30s jazz and a bit of Mayall, and I had a fine time sitting in with them. I returned to the UK in May 2004, and Dave suggested that we take the opportunity to record an album. I'd been looking for an opportunity to do a blues record, and I was glad to say yes.

Live jammin' acoustic blues, British style. Recorded live in the studio in May 2004, the album has terrific jamming between guitar and harmonica that'll satisfy any blues fan. Highlights include the moody, Mayall-esque "Woman", the intense, Sonny Terry-meets-the-21st-Century improvisation "Sun Clusters", JJ Cale's driving "Call Me The Breeze," and the cool, swinging Lonny Johnson classic "All You Good People."
