David Bennett Cohen was he original keyboards and guitar player with the '60s rock band, Country Joe and the Fish. For more than 30 years he has been a fixture on the music scene, having played with many bands, including the Blues Project, Mick Taylor, The Luther Tucker Blues Band, Hubert Sumlin, Elvin Bishop, Jimi Hendrix and a host of others. This is an instrumental Blues, Boogie-Woogie and New Orleans style piano album, played primarily by a piano trio consisting of piano, bass and drums. There is one tune that has a violin on it (The Queen of Hearts) and two tunes with acoustic guitar (Blue Silk and Treasures of the Heart).
