Stories
Editorial Reviews After college Tim played in England and the Northeast of America. Eventually he settled in Minnesota. In the mid-seventies he founded the seminal Minneapolis blues/rock group d' Gadband. He later struck out on his own, refined his acoustic style, and started playing coffee houses and other venues. He has opened for Leon Redbone, Bonnie Raitt, Jesse Colin Young, NRBQ and the Atlanta Rhythm Section in the U.S. and in England for Al Stewart, Colin Scott, Van der Graaf Generator, and Stone the Crows. He currently plays solo gigs, but has a talent for attracting an honored array of local musicians to play with him. Tim is also a member of the Booley Band, a four-piece group that plays traditional Irish/Celtic music. Tim lives in Mendota Heights, MN with his wife Rose and a large extended family.

Tim Gadban was born in England and moved to Vancouver, British Columbia when he was nine years old. As a teenager he was captivated by the emerging urban folk-style genre spearheaded by Bob Dylan. But Tim's influences extended into the realm of blues, rock n' roll, Celtic and American traditional music. From there he developed his unique style of song writing, playing and singing that he labels "neo-beatnik-folk-funk".
