Rich Chorné cut his teeth on the real thing, playing with Texas blues legend Long John Hunter and opening for Z Z Top in the 70’s. His long awaited debut album “That’s Shor-nay” not only explains how to pronounce his name but also marks him as a major guitarist, songwriter, and producer. Critics compare his guitar style to those of Washington area’s Jimmy Thackery and Tom Principato. Representative of Rich’s roots, this CD presents many surprises with latin, R&B, and soul rhythms while maintaining the blues feeling throughout. Rich’s songwriting has earned regional and national recognition and this CD realizes 9 of 11 songs as his own. The performances are graced by regional hitmen to the likes of Tommy Lepson on vocals and B3 organ, Jay Turner on bass and Danny Beirne on piano. “That’s Shor-Nay” firmly establishes Rich Chorné’s mature and identifiable sound.
