Begun as a pick-up band at the Walnut Valley Festival in Winfield, Kansas, this quartet has been playing other gigs since February 2000. They've become a favorite at house parties and were featured in the PRFR Musicfest in Fort Collins, Colorado 2001. They identify a wide variety of musical influences including: Taj Mahal, Pete Seeger, Jim Croce, Tom Paxton, Eric Clapton, early jug bands from the 20's & 30's, Elton John and John McCutcheon.

Owl Mountain Music is dedicated to helping people "Sing Their Soul" and celebrates its 10th anniversary with the debut release of JimJim & the FatBoys. Acoustic Folk Instruments (featuring both mountain and hammered dulcimers) are the mainstay of Owl Mountain Music's spirited and engaging music.
