"House Party" captures the true sound and spirit of Cooke & Green's music, which is acoustic blues performed as a duo on guitar, harmonica and vocals. The recording itself was done on a minidisk recorder live at a house party, and that particular night was, musically, a very good one for them. While from a technical standpoint they could have created a superior recording in the studio, the important thing on this CD is the music and emotion, not the technology.
