Tyler Andrews comes to us from Fargo, ND. His eclectic style of playing coupled with his natural gift for creativity makes him a fantastic player with a powerful message. Tyler accredits his parents for providing a strong foundation in faith. His father, Rev. Dave Andrews is a Methodist pastor, and his mother, Dorothy Andrews is a Nurse. They were the inspiration for his new CD, “The Gospel According to Groove”. Tyler started taking formal piano lessons at age six. Four short years later he abandoned the piano all together. However, he maintained his interest in music by learning the drums, percussion, and the trumpet. When he was twelve, his love for the piano was rekindled. It has proven to be a spiritual journey as well as an educational one.

His ardor for music led him to graduate from high school a year early so he could start touring with bands. He’s played in Country, Rock, Jazz, Blues, and Reggae groups. He has traveled to twenty-three states on his musical pursuits. Along the way, his zeal for music and flamboyant playing style has drawn a following.

His much anticipated debut album, “The Gospel According to Groove”, recorded and produced by the young musician himself, is his way of celebrating his faith. Whether you like familiar hymnals or new and original selections, there is something for every one. You will be inspired and entertained by Tyler and his special touch to the piano.
