Ben James' love of music goes back to his childhood. He began cultivating his musical interest by playing songs on the harmonica at the age of eight. He then began to experiment with the guitar at the age of sixteen, and found he had a talent within himself. At the age of nineteen Ben James hooked into some gigs playing the harmonica and guitar with some fine projects, such as Blue Midnight and the John North Blues Band. He worked the South Florida music circuit for a few years. In this venture he acquired an experience that has taught him the lifestyle of a working musician, as well as a birds-eye view of being a poverty stricken musician. He also knows how long and rough the road is for a traveling musician. Ben James had a landmark sucess in his debut release with the album, A Life of Its Own, this fueled the fire for Starlight Records to release the 1998 Second Life.In 1999 Ben James was working on the release of another project. He and his wife, Judy were living! in Santa Cruz, California. They can be found performing all over the north central area of California.
