Bet Williams has been a mover and a shaker on the club and coffeehouse scene for the past 12 years. From House of Blues and Troubadour in Los Angeles to Bottom Line in NYC, she has shared her powerful voice and unique perspective on life, performing with artists as diverse as John Gorka, Joan Osborne and Baba Olatungi. GUITAR ONE MAGAZINE says, "She's blessed with all the right stuff: a fantastic voice, a talent for songwriting, good musicianship and a charismatic stage presence. All in all you can bet on hearing more from this artist in the future."

This CD captures the high energy of singer/songwriter Bet Williams live on stage. Recorded with an intimate crowd at the famous Philly club that nutured artists like Bob Dylan and Bonnie Raitte, "Live at the Point" is packed full of great songs. With upright bass, drums and acoustic guitar, Bet's four-octave range voice travels through blues into folk, pop and rock. Some fun songs like "White Dog Doo" and "Neighborhood" (almost a mini-opera about people's barbqs) fire up the very friendly audience while other songs like acoustic solo numbers "Lookin' Down the Road for You" and "Oriental Drag" (a poignant Viet Nam poem-song by Mark Germino) leave them speechless. This is the CD that Bet-heads have been waiting for. If you're not part of her cult following, this might be the CD to check out and see why you should be.
