In the tradition of the great jazz singers of the past, Kim loves the standards, yet her style and approach is fresh and new. Kim Liggett grew up listening to Jazz. Starting at the age of five, Kim developed an interest in the performing arts and performed at local theatres. After attending the American Acadamy for the Dramatic Arts in New York and Pasadena, Kim starred in several equity theatre productions such as Shelby in Steel Magnolias and Lola in Damn Yankees. Now, Kim has turned her talents to jazz singing. Kim believes that jazz is the ultimate way for a singer to express their artistic talents.

Shadow of Your Smile is Kim's first album and contains a wide variety of jazz standards and contemporary songs.
