The Beanie For Peace Blues Band has included a full color 24 page booklet of "The Primitive Beanie Art of David Klein" with the cd. The art is extremely funny. The band has had different incarnations that has included (no kidding) two Beanie the Singing Dogs. Formerly called Beanie and the Beanettes, they performed for years on public access tv in NYC. Throughout their career they have performed in mental hospitals to the delight of patients.

Beanie is a real dog who can really sing the blues. Her pitch and rhythm are perfect. The record is really funny because of the combination of a singing dog and a funky blues band. It is also strangely moving with the truly beautiful singing of Beanie. "Beanie For Peace" is a reggae song that is the artist's hope that the absurdity of a dog singing for peace will strike a chord in people. It may become a new anthem. The two live songs ("Rockin' With My Beanie" and "Beanie and Cockatiel") which bracket the album are an amazing example of interspecies music making. If you've ever dreamed of making music with animals, this is it. All the songs will get you dancing. Other songs on the album include love songs to Beanie that are full studio productions of the kind of love songs that people sing to their animals in their own homes. Pachabeanie's Canon is a funny/moving rendition of the classical favorite that features Beanie singing about all the animals and people! she loves (we think).
