Knights jaw-dropping fingerstyle playing puts him on the bus with Chris Proctor and Leo Kottke.

You can see his fingers dancing across the strings with unbridled passion. This disc is nothing short of phenomenal.

Hammer Thru the Silence is the first solo CD from fingerstyle guitar wizard Keith Knight. This CD features solo acoustic 12 & 6 string guitar and is modern and traditional folk at its best. Hammer Thru the Silence demonstrates Knights incredible versatility as a guitarist, vocalist and songwriter, and his guitar picking has been best described as a rapid-fire and hell-bent Appalachian frenzy. Keith draws from the great masters of country blues (Blind Lemon Jefferson and Charley Patton) and breathes new life into these traditional genres with See that My Grave is Kept Clean and Highwater Everywhere, Part 1. There is some heavy slide guitar playing on this CD which lend the aggressiveness of Keiths style. Hammer Thru the Silence demonstrates that Keith Knight is one of the most astute and diverse modern folk musicians out there today.
