As Far As I Know
Editorial Reviews Drews music is an eclectic combination of roots, blues, Americana, blue grass and folk traditions. His guitar and vocal solo performances consist entirely of his original songs. Drew's songwriting influences are Tom Waits, Lucinda Williams and Steve Earle. Bruce Kaphan (the pedal steel guitar player of the American Music Club, Chris Isaak, John Lee Hooker, Black Crowes and others) co-produced and engineered the CD. Bruce accompanies Drew on three songs, including a masterful pedal steel on the haunting "Would You Like To Go Dancing?" This CD is a refreshing collection. It will take you back to a time when songs were written to endure.

This CD is a collection of Drew James original songs recorded the way they were intended -- acoustic with minimal accompaniment. It's an eclectic collection of "rootsy" songs that spans folk, Americana, Blues and jazz. As is Drew's trademark, these songs are heavily lyric driven -- lyrics that are well crafted and straightforward. Each song tells a story (mostly based on truth) as the music paints a mood. The melodies will grow on you before you realize it. You too will love to "Read About The Mob."
