The late 1940’s and early 1950’s were a magical time in American musical history, when blues, rhythm & blues, swing and rock & roll were all one thing. Blue Lunch explores that music and makes it their own.

Eight virtuoso musicians, performing on guitar, piano, upright bass, drums, harmonica, saxophones, trumpet and trombone, make up the band. They’ve performed at dozens of concerts, dances, clubs and private functions throughout the mid-West..

In addition to their exciting instrumental work, Blue Lunch also boasts at least five vocalists and include do-wop style harmonies in their repertoire

Blue Lunch has recorded and released four cds, Recorded Live at Wilberts, Eyes Wide Open, Not Live at the Copa., and their newest, Big Sound Blues. The cds have received airplay all over the world. 2004 marks the 20th anniversary of the band.

Big Sound Blues is the fourth release from this award winning Northeast Ohio based band. Five original songs top the session with the remainder consisting of interesting pieces from well known and obscure blues composers. Blue Lunch's influences include classic jump-blues, Chicago Blues, New Orleans R&B, Do Wop and more. This is a disc to dance to as well as to listen to.
