She ministers at various churches and events throughout the east coast and also ministers in the Subways of New York City. The Lord has also given her the gift of songwriting. She writes about her experiences of tribulation and victory in Jesus Christ. Tamara believes that not only should people know about the grace and love of God, His death and victorious resurrection, but to know that there is a defeated foe, the devil who is trying to prevent us from the gift of salvation. Through Jesus Christ we already have the victory.

Tamara has been singing for the Lord since 1992. Prior to that year, she hardly revealed her talent to anyone. One day, a church sister told her that if she did not use her voice for the Lord, that it would be taken away.
