<"b00020hdjy4999"> Album Description
Prepare yourself for a journey of the imagination. These cinematic landscapes are "Jazz on a large screen" or "New Age music with teeth". It’s World Music that’s not afraid to go off road. From two of New York City’s most adventurous improvisers, welcome to "ONE WORLD". Jody Espina and Rolf Sturm have been making music together since the early 1990’s. They have performed and recorded in many different ensembles, touring North America and appearing together on Relix records, Arista Records, Water Street Music, M-Cons East Records, Red Hat Productions, BMP Productions, and Da Da 4CD’s. When performing as a duo they frequently receive requests for a duo recording. Over the years, Jody and Rolf have gotten together informally, to play duets and they’ve "let the tape roll" as they improvised. "One World" is a collection of these home spun improvisations along with a few tunes that Jody and Rolf have written over the years. All of this music was recorded live. The only songs that have any overdubbing are "Search for Sita", "Native Dance", and the intro and ending to "Candle Song".
