It was in the early 70's that guitarist Norm T (Tiedemann) and bassist Mike Budka first played together in Trenton, New Jersey. After nearly 30 years they each found themselves in the greater Boston area still pursuing musical interests when their paths crossed again. This time they formed an alliance that also includes drummer Dave Schaefer and guitarist Ken Budka (Mike's son) to form B Street Blues, a well-oiled four piece blues machine! Each individual brings with them mastership of their instrument that, when combined, forms a whole greater than the sum of the individual parts; a cohesion that plays easy on the ear and is a thrill to experience live. Their repertoire runs the gamut of the blues ranging from exciting, driving, searing to sublime, ethereal, and sweet. There is something here to satisfy every blues aficionado. B Street Blues started performing in the greater Boston, MA/Manchester, NH area in July of 2003.They are most likely performing in an area near you in the near future. Be sure to catch them live; this is a band you won't want to miss!

B Street Blues has been playing the Southern New Hampshire, greater Boston metro area since the summer of 2003. They have been asked repeatedly for a B Street Blues CD. Finally, after a multi-year wait and much demand, here is their much requested debut effort. B Street Blues Live was recorded in a single, day long session on February 26, 2005 on Bennet Street in Woburn, MA at their rehearsal location. Microphones were placed to record each of the instruments and vocals. B Street Blues performed each of the songs completely "live", including the vocals. This initial offering includes six songs: three original B Street Blues songs: Invertebrate Blues by Norm T, Valentine's Day and Turn it Around by Ken Budka, and three tunes written by other artists: John Lee Hooker's Boom Boom, Buddy Guy's Man of Many Words, and Sick and Tired by C. Kenner and D. Bartholomew. The sizzling guitar work and cutting edge vocals blends to form a cohesive four piece power blues machine that exudes excitement and energy. If power blues is your thing, B Street Blues Live is sure to please.
