Browne's soulful singing is matched by the depth of his instrumental on various guitars, banjos and fiddles.

Blues Guru Michael Jerome Browne is more or less the finest One-Man show in these here parts.

Michael Jerome Browne has compiled a cross-section of music that takes you on a journey. He plays in deifferent styles and on several instruments - six string, tenor, steel and wood-bodied resonator models and 12 string, as well as banjo and fiddle. He also sings some, in a voice as ancient and weathered as a broken-down barn. He plays solo, he plays with others and he even straps on the rack-mounted harmonica and foot washboard and cranks up the one-man band. It is a tour of authentic American folk and blues styles and is neatly divided between the two. And with a solo acoustic version of Jimi Hendrix's "Manic Depression, it's no wonder this album has been nominated for several awards, including Canada's own Juno Awards.
