Five of the nine selections also appear on either Live at the Regal or The Electric B. B. King. The remainder are a pleasing assortment: "Watch Yourself" and "Lucille" (the endearing story of his guitar) were recorded in 1967 with a tight combo (the organist is Maxwell Davis, who arranged his mid1950s RPM sides), while "Paying the Cost to Be the Boss" and "I'm Gonna Do What They Do to Me" probably derive from a different session the same year. -- © Frank John Hadley 1993 --This text refers to the Audio CD edition.
