Late Last Night
Editorial Reviews
<"b00000048k5228"> From Grove Press Guide to Blues on CD
John Mooney's meld of country blues and New Orleans R&B is wearisome. His mannered singing and antigroove band have all the spark you'd expect of songs with such dismal titles as "It Don't Matter," "RIP," "Late Last Night," and "Late On in the Evening." The Crescent City guitarist's earlier albums, Telephone King (Ichiban CD) and Comin' Your Way (Blind Pig CD), are livelier but empty. -- © Frank John Hadley 1993 --This text refers to the Audio CD edition.
