"Cry of a Falcon" is an ultimate mix of blues and rock, from the classic slide licks of "Dust My Blues" to the slow blues grind of "Slow Burn" and "You're Gonna Get Hurt". The two Jimi Hendrix covers, "Voodoo Child (Slight Return)" and "Little Wing", showcase the great guitar playing of the brothers, the younger one taking the lead on "Voodoo Child (Slight Return)", and Joshua playing the crystal clean rhythm of "Little Wing". The two Freddie King covers, "San-Ho-Zay" and "Hide Away", keep things light and funky, and "Walkin' In The Park" is a nice jazzy song to cap it all off. Local San Antonio musician Casey Cortez laid down some fabulous vocal tracks on four of the songs.
