Les Miseres Dans Le Coeur is a diverse collection of traditional Cajun and Creole music by some of the last living practitioners of the older traditional styles. The release features the stellar vocals and stunning accordion playing of Goldman Thibodeaux and the unique fiddling of the King of Zydeco Fiddle Calvin Carriere. These are the only recordings of Mr. Carriere to be released in almost thirty years, and the debut of Mr. Goldman on accordion. The music ranges from old-school blues and Creole selections to more modern sounding Cajun dance tunes as no one else can play them. All selections were recorded live on location in Lawtell, Louisiana.
