Red Lady Records recording artist Nina Storey, began her musical career at the age of fifteen.Working with MCA Music Publishing and Grammy Award winner producer, Leon Ware,Nina co-wrote a five song EP with her current producer and writing partner, Jan Storey. And later, released the music video, "Can We Believe" - all before her senior year in high school. As a studio singer, she worked with producers such as Grammy Award winner, Randy Hall, who is currently her musical director, and lead guitarist; Grammy Award winner Chris Bennett, and the late Terry Marshall. Nina also worked as an actor in national television commercials for McDonald's, Toyota and Universal Studios. Early on, her soulful style was taking shape and by the time she entered college she formed the band, "Lost Generation" which performed to crowds thought out Colorado. Before the release of her first CD Guilt and Honey in 1993, Nina already toured Europe and established herself as one of Colorado's most popular singers. After a second European tour in the winter of 1994, Red Lady Records released her live CD "Bootleg", which showcases Nina's musical style that incorporates blues, funk, alternative rock, and jazz. Nina's passionate support and ongoing participation keeps her singing in such benefits as the I Have A Dream Foundation, Colorado AIDs Walk, and Youth At Risk. She opened for such nationally acclaimed artists, as Etta James, WAR, Sonia Dada, Junior Wells, 1997 Grammy Award winner Keb Mo, The Young Dubliners at the Los Angeles House of Blues, and Meredith Brooks at the New Orleans House of Blues. She also opened for Los Lobos and Joan Osborne at the 1997 Aspen Jazz Festival. In addition, Nina sang back-up vocals for INXS in a special live concert which aired on VH-1 in the spring, 1997. In August of 1997, Red Lady Records released the latest CD Shades. Currently, Shades is one of the top selling CDs in Colorado. Although her powerful yet sultry vocals have been compared to everyone from Janis Joplin to Tori Amos, to Billie Holiday, Nina's eclectic style of soulful passion is one that is identifiably her own. During the 1998-1999 NFL season, she sang at the opening Monday-Night Football Game at Denver's Mile High Stadium, also at the AFC Championship Game which the Denver Broncos won. And after Denver won the Super Bowl, she performed for over 400,000 fans at the Broncos Super Bowl Celebration Rally at Denver's Civic Park.
