A moving album that captures the essence of life between the edge of survival and the grasping hand of emotional decay.

These recordings were all recorded in monaural only but they have been remastered from original premium quality sources with the utmost of care and released here in true mono without electronic manipulation of any kind. These recordings are truly representative of Perry's early pre-stereo recording career with many of his classic hits from the 1940s and popular standards from the early 1950s.

"TV Favorites" was Perry Como's first RCA Victor 10" format long-play album, recorded and originally released in March of 1952, and is featured here in combination with another early LP, "Supper Club Favorites", released shortly following. These early LPs contained only songs, in place of twelve, so this nostalgic collection contains a bonus of eight additional songs from Perry's first 12" format album "SO SMOOTH" which was recorded and released in 1955. With many of the songs from "Supper Club Favorites" dating back to the mid 1940s, this compilation is a nostalgic view of Perry's first real decade with the RCA Victor Records label for those who remember it. Perry's early radio and television shows were sponsored by Chesterfield cigarettes and broadcast three-times a week on the popular "Chesterfield Supper Club".
