Album Description
Ethno-Classic guitarist Brandon Yip explores how composers Enrique Granados, Joaquin Rodrigo and Federico Morena Torroba use elements of Spanish folkloric music within the classical idiom.

The sultry Mediterranean sun, the crisp strum of the guitar, the festive syncopation of the dancer's heals and the mournful cante jondo (deep song) of the flamenco singer are all part of the Spanish spirit. Enrique Granados, Joaquin Rodrigo and Federico-Moreno Torroba combined these Spanish characteristics within conventional classical idioms. However, each composer used slightly different approaches contributing his own unique voice to the Spanish repertoire.
