Album Description
American composer Greg Witt has impressed his listeners with many works through out the years. His composition, "PEARL HARBOR: A MUSICAL TRIBUTE" was performed by the Odessa College Concert Band and Choir on Friday, December 7th, 2001 in the Commemorative Air Force hangar at Midland International Airport. The piece is a four-movement work for concert band and choir performed live to a synchronized video presentation of actual clips from the day of infamy. II. Freedom: "Freedom, Cherish your freedom! ... Freedom, A light for our kingdom."
III. We're Flyin' Hawaiian: "You had a good home but you left, You're Right! ..., You'll fight 'em with all of your might, You're Right!" IV. Finale: "Pearl Harbor, We honor thee. America lay quietly asleep. Your mountains crumbled into the sea. O God, you have not forsaken ... Pearl Harbor! America, you're Free!"
