Album Description
A musical ensemble composed entirely of flutes, The Nashua Flute Choir, Inc., founded in 1983, is a voluntary, nonprofit organization dedicated to sharing music, refining talents and enlightening the musical culture of the community. The eighteen members, from a variety of backgrounds and locations, foster their love of music through this unusual ensemble, led by music director, Dr. Eileen Yarrison. Instruments represented in the ensemble include piccolo, Eb flute, C flute, alto flute and bass. The choir performs a variety of musical styles ranging from Baroque to Contemporary in New Hampshire and Massachusetts each year. Additionally, the choir was selected to play at Symphony Hall in 1994 for the Greater Boston Flute Association, the National Flute Association Convention in Boston in 1993, New York City in 1996, and Atlanta in 1999.
