Editorial Reviews To float as if on air. Part of the idea for the birth of pointe was to accomplish this visually. When the music that marries with movement is light, sparse, lifting, at times syncopated - inviting the dancer into a world more ethereal than terre a terre, there is a wonderful transformation that occurs. Stephen Barnes is a principal pianist at Pacific Northwest Ballet. Having played for and received accolades from teachers spanning the four corners of the globe, he resides at Seattle Washington and is a particular favorite in his native Northwest. *As with all "Create-a-Class" Cds the music given is but part of what it takes for an entire class. It is a continuing Library of musical ideas created at the source - the Ballet classroom. Recorded at Audio Recording/Kearney Barton
