From the Artist
This first solo CD release contains the world premiere performance of Ronald Foster's new unaccompanied clarinet work, Contemplations for Solo Clarinet, written in 1999. Additionally, the disc contains six works (some from the standard clarinet literature, and some lesser known works) which are found on many middle & high school contest music lists. Among these works, the L. Quet Petite Piece makes its first appearance on CD.
About the Artist
Clarinetist Christopher Zello maintains a diverse background working as a performer, educator and in arts administration. Currently residing in Milwaukee, Mr. Zello performs with the Fox Valley Symphony, Milwaukee Ballet Orchestra, and the Milwaukee Chamber Orchestra. A Yamaha Clinician & Performing Artist, he teaches at Cardinal Stritch University.
