After a series of indie releases, his major-label debut continues his carefree celebration of the Lone Star life--on toe-tapping anthems such as "Carry On," "Take Me Out to a Dancehall," and "Texas on My Mind" (written by Jerry Jeff's son Django Walker)--while extending his range with more thoughtful, subtle material such as "Galleywinter." Willie Nelson joins Green for a trans-generational duet on "Threadbare Gypsy Soul," while the title cut is a songwriting collaboration with Radney Foster.
