Editorial Reviews The Milagro Saints are an eclectic quintet, formed by a chance meeting of Lee, Joyce and (Englishman) Stephen at a New York City open house jam session. Stephen had originally come to the Us as part of the Jack Rubies (TVT), and Joyce had participated in the various musical adventures of ex-Talking heads members in Jarry Harrison's Casual Gods and the Tom-Tom Club. The band subsequently transplanted to Raleigh, North Caorlina to be close to some of their original musical roots, where they joined up with Royden Saah and Jason Graves. MIDNIGHT AMERICA finds the band venturing into more diverse styles, as strains of soul, gospel and rock entwine with the band's essential original electric folk sound, and includes a salsa/soul/folk/funky version of Bob Dylan's "One More Cup of Coffee", caffeinated by the fiddle playing of renowned Austin TX musician Richard Bowden (Maines Brothers, Austin Lounge Lizards and Terry Allen).
