Editorial Reviews In his solo performance, Cams compositions reflect the traditions of Canadian and American fiddle styles, while using elements of jazz and blues to ornate a original and dynamic show.

Twenty years ago Cam was on the road with the Caravan Stage Company playing fiddle, mandolin and guitar. Since then he has played bluegrass with the Grassland Boys out of Saskatchewan, did a stint with Doc Leonards Road Apple Revue and Musical Remedy Co. in Manitoba and played Irish Music with Cool Na Gael in Alberta. Other bands he has worked with include Crooked Creek, the Fractals and as a sideman for many groups ranging from straight-ahead country to free improvisation. Hes busked across Europe and Canada. In addition to his solo show, Cam plays with the honky-tonk and western swing band; Twang and the Hot Club influenced Atlas Quartet.
Album Description
Working with a former member of the Fractals, Jim Hepler, Cam has recorded a sampling of his meanderings through this rich musical landscape; offering original tunes that reflect this diverse musical interest. Cam combines elements of Jazz, Traditional Metis Rhythms, Slavic Minor chords, and Country Twang, into a whirling mix of sonic textures that has been affectionately dubbed Jug-Jazz. Cam plays most of the instruments on this recording, including Fiddle, Fretless mandolin, tenor guitar and electric guitar.
