Editorial Reviews In 1993 another run of GRAFFITI was made on cassette tape and sold at David's performances. GRAFFITI is considered to be the best of David's teenage songwriting. The songs were recorded between the years of 1982 and 1984. Bartholomew Roberts aka The Pirate Song - has been included in The Jolly Roger Song Book ... a collection of songs about Pirates. Most of the songs in the Jolly Roger Songbook were written when pirates were active. That is why it is a great honor to be in the book. Joe Bethancourt, Marconias, and many others perform Bartholomew Roberts making it one of David's best known works. Johnny Chrome Engine, a song about a car that looks really cool but doesn't run is included here too. David wrote this for his 11 grade auto shop class. He got a B. Zoo Blues was recorded by Mary Miche and appears on her album Animal Crackers. Broken Heart Harbor has been and continues to be performed by many artits including Amicus & Jason Montero. Heart In The Wind is a song dedicated to the late great Stan Rogers. The songs here were influenced by many of the "adults" in ! David's life at the time - Skip Henderson, Tim Dawe, Will Bluefield, from the Wine Cellar in S.F.... and the great recording artists David listened to and studied... Stan Rogers, Paul Simon, Harry Chapin, Cat Stevens, Ralph McTell, Bill Stains, Carla Bonoff, and many others.
