From the Artist
Ours is a hybrid musical form that springs from classical chamber music, folk, and jazz. We have been together for fifteen years, and now are delighted to be a part of the emerging genre known as World Chamber Music. Our style is dramatic, thought-provoking, and often amusing. This collection differs from our first recording, in that it is primarily just the duo with very little multi-tracking.
About the Artist
Chance is in it for the art. Their multi-influenced music was first heard nationally on the hit television show "Northern Exposure", and they maintain a full touring schedule. Chance has enjoyed considerable airplay in the United States on NPR, college stations, and television.
Album Description
Chance is one of the only voice and cello duos in the world. This duo is comprised of Ed Willett (cellist/singer/songwriter) and Cheryl Leah (vocalist/songwriter/poet). This collection of originals reflects very well the primary style of Chance, which has as its focus the wedding between two icons of power, the cello and the human voice. The album also contains some guitar cuts and some humorous material.
