Editorial Reviews Davis' musical style is as much influenced by Joe Jackson, Blondie & the Cars as by Dylan, The Beach Boys & the Beatles. His sound has been compared to Counting Crowes, Sheryl Crow & to Elvis Costello, with the occasional Dylan reference thrown in. In his early 20's, Davis got his feet wet in front of live audiences at open mics in lower Manhatten. Thrilled to have people listenning he went on to front several eclectic folk quintets, gaining popularity in New York City and on Long Island. All the while Davis continued to refine his songwriting & became an acoustic favorite in the Long Island cafe & bar scene. For over a decade, Seth Davis has pleased audiences in rooms such as The Living Room, The Bitter End & the Fez in New York City, The Kiosk in los Angeles as well as in the Underground rail system of London where he busked in 1994 in what he calls "the best acoustics in the world!". For years, Davis has divided his artistic ingenuity between careers as an emerging songwriter & as an accomplished vegan/vegetarian & raw foods chef & cooking instructor. His web site, sethdavis.com, includes some of his thoughts & experiences with excellent foods as well as recipes & links to other vegetarian sites. Seth Davis makes a whole hearted, full time return to music & performance with his album "without annette".
